Stage 0 — Introduction to SDE

Stage 0 is where the book starts, and where you start. It starts from zero: how a computer follows instructions, your first tools, your first lines of Python, and your first app built by asking an AI. Then it teaches the ideas that turn all of that into engineering. Nothing here assumes you have ever written a line of code.

The chapters are being written from scratch right now. The earlier version has been taken off the site rather than left under your feet, so there is nothing to unlearn. Each chapter will appear here, dated, as soon as its text is ready.
